A little about Cumberland...

The quiet, but friendly, town of Cumberland is located in Cumberland County, Maine. Once a part of North Yarmouth, Cumberland was officially incorporated as its own town in 1821. The town received its name from Captain Ephraim Sturdivant, a ship captain and the first treasurer of Cumberland. Cumberland has a rich history in farming, and though only a small number of working farms still remain in the town, the farming spirit is still very much evident throughout the community.
